Community

As we empower and invest in the children and families in the community, we are also indirectly investing and building the communities they live in. By providing support for a wide range of initiatives within the local community, we are laying the foundation for those who were helped to in turn help others in their communities and to be change makers.

How we work

Education : Health – Sanitation – Malaria prevention

Building latrines

Distributing insecticide treated nets

Teaching : Agricultural best practices – literacy skills

Your Impact

Malaria continues to be one of the main causes of poverty. It results in absenteeism from the daily activities of earning an income and it prevents children from attending school. By educating communities about malaria prevention and improving their use of the insecticide nets that are distributed we are protecting their health and future outlook.

Hospitals and clinics are often too far and transpiration costly for those in remote communities. By educating the communities in treating health issues with medicinal plants that grow around them, lives are saved from minor health problems that can turn deadly if no timely intervention is taken.
